Would u say it is normal for teenagers to experiment with various types of drugs?

Yes, and even though I have yet to run across any research to verify my theory, I attribute some of the increase (or at least the lack of decrease) in drug experimentation among teens to the D.A.R.E. program - I know a lot of kids who already had a predisposition to drug use (their parents used, or they have an addictive personality disorder, or they have easy access to drugs through friends or relatives) who became MORE interested in trying them when they learned more about them in DARE. Anecdotal evidence is not enough to condemn the program, of course, but I can't help but wonder... and I digress.

To some degree, yes it is normal for kids to try some drugs that are accessible to them, and this does not indicate a proneness to addiction. Some kids don't start experimenting until college, and some never do at all. However, a line should be drawn (how far is too far?) and a parent should be watchful for signs of addiction.Would u say it is normal for teenagers to experiment with various types of drugs?
sure for the empty-heads it is par for the courseWould u say it is normal for teenagers to experiment with various types of drugs?
I would suggest that it's ';normal'; for teenagers to experiment- PERIOD. But it's up to ADULTS to suggest to them that not all experimentation is necessarily a good idea... :)
YES...... Statistically I would say yes, it's normal...However is it of any value for the teenager... Absolutely not...

Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child

Teenagers are not children ,but the are not Adults either,.. their brains are not yet fully developed much damage can be done ....
There is interest among many teens to experiment. They should Have knowledge and not peer pressure in making a decision. Last time I was asked if I was 'into' pot, I simply said no, it's not good for you. The response was ';ya...it leads to harder drugs'; in a very sarcastic tone.
To a point. but YES. Statistically yes, it's normal.
I would say that it is normal for them to be curious about drugs, but smart enough to know they should not experiment with them, as so many drugs are so addictive and dangerous. If they give in to their curiousity it is only showing that they are not very smart, and don't have any respect for themselves or the others who love them.
