Why do some churches have special rooms for children, and teenagers, and have the big room for adults?

and why isn't everybody just in the same big roomWhy do some churches have special rooms for children, and teenagers, and have the big room for adults?
Why do schools have separate rooms and grades? Churches accommodate different ages and learning abilities. Why do some churches have special rooms for children, and teenagers, and have the big room for adults?
Because 2/3 of the stuff in the Bible isn't fit to teach to children and 1/4 is too boring to bother with. That way they can spoon-feed the children only the sweet cute gushy stuff and omit the stuff that they use to scare the adults. As for the teens, they are in a different area so their parents can't see them listening to their ipods and texting their friends instead of paying attention to the sermon.

It also keeps the kids %26amp; teens from having to sing songs like ';Bathed in the Blood';. No wonder so many of them are into vampire stuff.
i hated that when i was younger because i couldn't learn anything about religion in ';sunday school'; (ages 5-13) that's why i stopped going to church

its because most children would only get in the way of the adult people in their church, they wouldn't understand and sometimes they would actually be scared
Because children would be too disruptive, and the message of the Bible would be too traumatic and off-putting to expose children that young to it. The kids have to be conditioned with the rainbows-n'-lollipops version of the Bible first, so that they'll blindly accept the real version when they're older.
Because they don't understand that kids learn best from their parents, and families should worship together, not separately.

The ';make it exciting for kids'; excuse is a pile of hooey. If kids are trained to think that Christ isn't ';exciting'; enough on His own, they'll never be satisified with church. Church isn't supposed to be entertainment (what YOU get out of it), folks -- it's supposed to be an offering to the Lord (what HE gets out of it).
What size room is right for teenagers? And how big should be the room for the adults?

I think that if you ask those people who really go there, they would say they like it that way. The messages can be constructed for the particular age groups. The music can be the same way.
same reason quagmire from family guy has a special room.
Good question. When God had his people Israel gathered for instruction he had them all come together. Jehovah's Witnesses follow that pattern in their worship at their meeting places.
Jesus said let the children come, so in many small churches everyone worships together. However, some children just cannot sit still long enough to really hear the message, and therefore their parents aren't getting it either.

It is often better to have different age groups have their own worship services. The problem is, if you don't have the right person/people working with the children/youth then they aren't learning in there either and that is not right. It isn't babysitting, it's children's worship.

You can either look for a church that keeps everyone together or a larger one that specializes in great groups for the children/youth. Ones where they will learn what worship is all about and when it is time to join the adults they will do it with joy and understanding.

What is it with teenagers and ramen noodles?
anyone can make them, with or without a stove. they are cheap, and fast and good
lol Alacia...I always fed them to my grandson he still loves them at 10 :)
Cheap, easy to make, bad for you (high fat and salt)...everything a teen might love.
i dont like them they are so over rated im 21!
I think most teens have not yet had the joy of having their doctor tell them to stop eating fat. After that, when they look at the nutritional facts and see how much fat is in them, between that and the doctors scowl when he/she finds out about the ramen will make the teen too guilty to ever eat them again without losing sleep for a month.
Ramen noodles aren't just for teenagers anymore. lol. I'm 35 and I still eat them lots. I think teenagers like them because they're something fast they can cook in the microwave. We all know how patient teenagers are. They want to eat and then they're on the move again !
it's easy to make and it tastes decent. duhh!
first of all, there might not be anything else to eat and there good!
Cheap and easy...a college student's dream!
its easy to make, cheap, good, and filling. what else can ya ask for? maybe some nutrition but oh well...lifes not perfect.
Well I'm not a teenager, I'm 23, but they are soooooooooo good.
i guess im not i teenager anymore, but i hate them things
they are about a quarter a piece and that's about how much we make an hour.
I'm 25 and I still love them. They are easy to make and extremely cheap.
i'm 14 and i think there gross. so not all teens like those
I don't know but, when my kids were teenagers they could have lived on them. They ate a package everyday when they came in from school.

None of them really eat them very often now. I think it was a convenience thing, mostly. And an independence thing, they could take care of fixing it themselves.
ramen is cheap. end of story.
they're super easy to make and cost like 50 cents each. they are awesomely tasty
It's easy to make, cheap, good, and kindof filling

What are popular clothing stores/brands in China/Japan for teenagers?

Similar to how many young shoppers in Canada and the US frequent Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, etc, I was wondering what the equivalent in brands/shops are in Asia. What are popular clothing stores/brands in China/Japan for teenagers?
I'm not sure about Japan, but in China, the small boutiques are VERY popular. They have entire streets with hundreds of little stalls (sometimes indoors with AC, thank God) that sell EVERYTHING. I just went to Qi Pu lu in Shanghai today. I got TONS of stuff. I got like 5 pairs of shoes, 2 dresses, 5 pairs of earrings, a wallet and a purse all for less than 1300rmb. Whoever said that CRAP about the ';communist'; thing is full of crap. You can get fake abercrombie and stuff here for a smidgen of the price, and it's not like anyone can tell. You can get Rock and Republic jeans and True Religion jeans for like 20 bucks and the qualityt is pretty decent and the only way you can tell they're fake is if you have a guide righ in front of you and someone keeps staring at your butt to look for the details. What are popular clothing stores/brands in China/Japan for teenagers?
ahem........ plz ask that guy not to swear, it just is pretty rude as you're online

(the answer above me is scary...you can tell they've never been to China)

Metersbonwe seems to be the most popular with all classes (farmers and rich) as Jay Chou is the model for their company and it's affordable to anyone. Goelia (formarlly Gloria) is also popular as the girl that owns that company is really cute and mixed?

There are a few more...but at the moment my mind is blank. Metersbonwe though is definitly of the top 3 as far as popularity goes.
To be correct, its Giordano, Bossini, Espirit and others. I can't seem to remember. In the Special Economic Zones, many people seem to open their own shop and sell their clothing mostly with No return policy.
In the mainland of China,Anta(安踏),Lining(李宁) etc,are popular clothing brands.

The most popular clothing brands may be NIKE %26amp; adidas.
it all depends where you live. in hong kong, you get Jordano, Bossini, Abercrombie( export clothing) and just many many more!
The average people in Red China cannot afford to buy any cloths at all. You have to remember that its a communist country. The people are not meant to flourish and have their own lives. They are all nothing but mindless slaves.

start mowing lawns, hauling hay, maybe pick up a paper route if you have a car already. You could try starting your own business but it can be extremely tricky especially with the bad situation our government is in right now economically. I earned somewhere around $300-$400 in 2-3 months by doing all the events in Boy Scouts(pancake supper, garage sale, 4th of July Coke booth) we had plus mowing a few lawns, recycling crushed aluminum cans, and hauling hay on the weekends.
This is a good place to go, I got 15 bucks last month.

Is this section suppose to be for parents of teenagers? Is this section suppose to be for parents of teenagers?
It's supposed to be parents of teens, but teens took over.

=]Is this section suppose to be for parents of teenagers?
I think that was Yahoo's intention...

But I like it better how adolescents themselves come on here. It's a great way of communication between teenagers about teenage problems without actually knowing who you are talking to. It's a great way to share problems, get help, without embarassing yourself.

    =)
    I don't think so....

But it might have been us teens kind of took it over, a long long time ago....

If you need to ask a question about parenting a teen, teens will answer here, or you could go to Parenting, where parents are lol
I was under the impression this section was for women who are pregnant, dads, moms and anyone who falls somewhere in thats category.
    Yes, since its parenting.

But do you care to recommend a section on here that us teens could go and ask our questions.? There isn't one, that's why you can't.
    Pretty much, because its under ';pregnancy and PARENTING';

but teens hang out here allot. honestly, theres pretty much noone asking questions about their teens who isnt a troll.
Nobody really knows. It's controversial in this section.
    Nobody really knows.
Yes that was it's original purpose, but we teens sort of took over.
    nope, not really.

    it's mostly the teens themselves.
Maybe. But I only see teens in here.

Try parenting if you have a question about your child.
Both teens and their parents =]
i hope my parents dont get on here
    well for teens and parents
    Lol, yes.

    We hijacked it... =D
    I don't think we've decided. haha

Do you think teenagers should be required to take parenting classes in middle and high school?

Well, it seems like a lot of teenagers are hell-bent on becoming parents when they're in high school any way, so it'd definitely be convenient. Definitely more practical applications than some other subjects taught, like calculus.Do you think teenagers should be required to take parenting classes in middle and high school?
No. The schools around here have enough trouble providing the essential academic subjects like math, science, and English. It might be offered as an elective, though. My kids' high school offers a course in child development. It's very popular. But it's not intended to prevent teen pregnancy (nor would it work that way) - it's just a psychology class and a lot of the kids who take it think they want to work with children.Do you think teenagers should be required to take parenting classes in middle and high school?
Definitely not! Not every teen wants to be a parent! I sure don't! I have too many things I want to do with my life and having a kid would prevent that!
why teenagers already know everything there is too know.
That'd be a good idea. I took two child development classes in high school and learned a lot.
No. Most adults don't have to, and teens can be as good parents as adults can.
that sounds like a nice idea, but it should be an elective, like home economics or music.
yes it should be if the kids are having troubles.
    yes for @ least a month @ a time♦

the website im attaching is where all haunted hoses/trails are across the us most donate to reputable charities as well. also before heading out a pumpkin party is fun. you can buy the carving kit at any local store and there are better templates online(a link on this website)

also with the pumpkin carving party pick up some classic horror films to play in the background. along with pumpkin carving you can serve warm cider and caramel apples. best of wishes-joe
First of all you need cool decoarations. I don't know the setup of where the party is going to be, but here are some ideas.

-Turn your lights very low, make the room eerie. A colored light would be better, like a dark blue. Maybe a fog machine?

    -Have fun, scary food decorations

Put fake spiders and cobwebs around the house/room.

    - Play a scary movie in the background

    Next you need music.

Halloween by The Misfits. (A must!)

Thriller by MJ, just change it up to fit your style.

    Bad Moon Rising by CCR

I Put A Spell On You by Screamin' Jay Hawkins

Black Magic Woman by Carlos Santana

The Devil Went Down To Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band

Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult

    Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell

    Activities:

    -A costume contest.

    - dancing

    -karoake of Halloween songs

    - silly string fight

    - have a dance off with the guests having to learn the Thriller dance

-dance competition. There can be funny categories like ballroom, tango, break dance, and so on. They can pair up with each other according to the costume they are wearing. The more bizarre the pairing the better. A popular vote or a panel can decide on the winners. Prizes like CDs or gift vouchers can be given to the winners.

Do you think teenagers can fall in love? Or is it just infatuation?

This is a school project for philosophy and ethics. If you could answer these it would help me greatly :D

What do you think makes a good relationship work?

What would you do if your boyfriend or girlfriend wanted you to stop seeing your friends or doing a hobby so you could spend more time with them?

What do you think is the best way to brake up with someone?

Do you think teenagers can fall in love? Or is it just infatuation?

I would ask my family but they're all out!Do you think teenagers can fall in love? Or is it just infatuation?
A good relationship needs trust, respect and love. If one of these are missing, then it's just not going to work out in the long run. Another thing would be to have a lot of things in common. After all, how will a relationship work if you constantly disagree with what your partner likes?

If my boyfriend said that to me I would kindly let my friends know that I'm not going to be able to see them as much as I have been... I'd think of it as a 'getaway' with him. :) And with a hobby, that wouldn't really bother me either. But I'd encourage him to participate in my hobby if it was something practical like Tennis so that we could both enjoy the hobby together!

The best way to break up with someone... hmmmm... probably just telling them straightforward that you no longer feel the love that you did in the past. I'm not too sure with this question to be honest.

Yes, teenagers can DEFINITELY fall in love! I have been with my boyfriend since I was 16 and trust me, if you just maintain the relationship properly and act maturely then it can really go a long way! Some teenager relationships I would consider just an infatuation, mainly because the individual isn't mature enough, wants a relationship to show off about it or just wants a partner for sex.Do you think teenagers can fall in love? Or is it just infatuation?
A good relationship starts with looks, you have to be attractive to your partner. Second they not only have to be your lover but your friend b/c after the intimacy is gone all you have is the friendship. Third there has to be trust on both sides and honesty. With out those two it is doomed to fail.

I had this problem with my boyfriend where he wanted to hang out with his buds more than me at one point. I told him that he doesn't have to lose his friends just he has to put for that extra effort for me otherwise it was over.

Definitely in person. Nothing says rude or immature like a text, voice-mail, phone call or email.

Yes I do think teens can fall in love but, when you get older and you start to mature, you see so much more in a relationship and feel more passion. That is why most adults don't see teen love as real. Just because a relationship may only last a month doesn't mean you didn't love them. It just wasn't a deep love.
There are a number of things that make a good relationship, but the most important ones are honesty, communication, unconditional love, and loyalty.

Normally when you first start dating someone you usually do that anyhow, sometimes without noticing! However if it wasn't something done naturally, I would simply explain to them that our worlds shouldn't just be about our relationship, and how space and time apart could be a good thing for the relationship.

There's really no best way of broking up with someone! However if you want to be rude about it I guess to stop talking to that person all together.

    Yes teenagers can fall in love, that's what we call ';puppy love';
What do you think makes a good relationship work? Compromise.

What would you do if your boyfriend or girlfriend wanted you to stop seeing your friends or doing a hobby so you could spend more time with them? Tell her no, I yam what I yam.

What do you think is the best way to brake up with someone? Honestly, politely, and in a way that leaves no question as to whether or not you mean it.

Do you think teenagers can fall in love? Or is it just infatuation? They can, but often have trouble identifying it as such. It's best to wait and let things develop, if you're actually in love it will last into adulthood.
    Hope this helps!

I think a good relationships work when some one is loyal some one you can trust with anything, someone who is always there by your side! plus more

i say that you need both time with friends and boyfriend or girlfriend. you need that space as well if yous are up eachothers *** you get frustrated and stuff. so space is a good thing.

thats hard depends on the situation

i think that if your with some one you really care about and been together for a long time since you were teens then yeah... but now days thats hard to say look at the young ones they say there in love when they dontknow what it is... you know when you love someone
A great relationship works hen both people are pulling their weight, and communicate with each other.

I would seriously consider if I would want to even be in a relationship with someone who doesn't like what I do, or my friends. (Personally, If it as between me, and my music, music would always win. Fortunately, there are girls in band)

The best way to brake up with someone is in person. Notice, i said best, not easiest.

Love has no age, but most of the time, teenagers undergo infatuation, and think it is love.
I think what makes a good relationship work IS (keep in mind that I'm 17 and have never been in a relationship)... well, honesty and loyalty I guess.

Basically I just think that yes, it is possible for teenagers to fall in love but it'd be pretty rare! Because there's too much lust and immaturity for teenagers to properly respect each other and themselves for that matter! Plus falling in love I imagine would take a fair while and we've got the attention span of a gold fish.
it depends, some people are highschool sweet hearts which lead to marriage. i guess it all depends on how fast they mature cuz that plays a big role in commitment and relationship
Of course teenagers can fall in love.

A lot of times they're just infatuated, but the same is true for adults.
I don't see why a teenager can't fall in love, its something that just happens and you don't know why. Its not something that you decide to do, you have no control over it no matter how old you are. A teenager is more likely to just be infatuated because of the physiological changes that are happening, but it doesn't make those feelings any less valid. You can't describe what love is, or what makes you love some people, no matter whether you should or not, and I'm sure that it is different for everyone. Its only an emotion, so most people are capable of it.

A lot of hard work makes a relationship work. Love is definitely not all you need! Patience, understanding and respect are important. Just because you love someone does not mean that you will agree with them all the time, they can drive you mad, and make you want to scream. Making sacrifices and compromises are all a part of it, and there will always be things that you will have to give up to make the relationship work, but as long as you keep a sensible balance I wouldn't give up any part of your life. Its what makes you who you are and that's why the person loves you.

There is no easy way to break up with someone, its always going to suck for at least one of you. It really doesn't matter whether you are honest about the reason for wanting to end the relationship or not. It hurts knowing that the person you want to be with doesn't want to be with you.

Do you think teenagers today should show more respect for adults?

Yes definitelyDo you think teenagers today should show more respect for adults?
We aren't all disrespectful. You adults don't exactly make it easy to just bite my tongue and smile polietly. I've meet quite a few who unessesarily say rude things and not to snap back takes alot. I will say most of my pupils talk to thier parents in ways I wouldn't dare doing, but we aren't all that way and don't think just because we are teens that we are drinking, having sex, and always lying about where we are.Do you think teenagers today should show more respect for adults?
Well I'm a teen that shows somewhat respect for his mother but im gonna tell you all a little story. So last night my mom went to the next door neighbors house for a little pool party. She was over there till 1:30. When she came home, she was pretty much drunk. I said, ';What the he|| are you doing over there at the neighbors house till 1:30?! What the *** is going on? She didn't remember anything the next morning...
Sometimes but Adults have got to show just as much respect too. Whenever I deliver a newspaper to their house, the people look at me as if I'm a criminal, they don't say thank you just huff and puff instead.

Not all teenagers are mean, there are some very nice ones too.
Respect is not a due ,it has to be earned to be deserved.I would say that elders and adults should receive consideration, unless they are on the rob, drugs or perpetually drunk.A good role model earns and deserves respect,a bad role model does not.
I'm a teenager of today, and I don't think we should show respect if they don't deserve it. This may seem a bit baised but it's how I feel. Adults today should show more respect for teenagers. They have to earn my respect.
it depends. if the adult respects the teenager, yes. but if the adult simply demands respect, no. why should i give you respect just because you're an adult?
i think repect has to be earned but in my days as a teenager there was more respect but in our media driven world where everything is now acceptable im not surprised repect has gone
Yes, they should. In fact, it'd be nice for everyone to respect everyone. Sadly, it doesn't work like that anymore.
Not only should they show more respect for adults, they should show more respect for each other.
    Depends who the adults are

if they dont give teens respect then i dont think teens should give them respect in return.
It`s 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other....Good and bad in everyone....
is ';respect'; even in a teens vocabulary?

    Yes they should !
    Uh, No.

If I don't know them, Why should I repsect them?
    Yes they should
    yes
yes they're all little toe rags
    Yes....I bet I'll a thumbs down.

Why are some teenagers afraid to show who they really are? ?

I dont understand... Before i was honest to myself.. i hate those who pretend i hate those who lie to themselves.. but when my classmates changed and become more sociable i changed. I became the person who hides her real self... i dunno.. i hated myself for that. Why are some teenagers afraid to show who they really are? ?
    Every teen goes threw it.

You are discovering yourself and trying to fit in.

So what. It's human nature to want to belong in a group (history of tribes.)

So, You want to fit in and haven't quite figured out how to use your authentic personality or maybe it's a bit scary to expose your real emotions cause you don't want to get picked on or whatever. Well, that is ok to do as long as you are not hurting yourself or anyone else in the process. You are learning how to socially integrate and that is a skill that you will need later in life too. So what if you go with the trend flow for a bit.

Dont' hate yourself for it, it's normal ( again unless you are hurting yourself or somebody else with your 'fake self'.)

Eventually as you grow you will form your own group or be able to have the appreciation for the DIFFERENCES between you and your friends as well as what is ';accepted';.

You will connect over more than similiarities. You will change many times in life. Your core will hopefully stay pure and well intentioned through all changes.

I wish you the best! Why are some teenagers afraid to show who they really are? ?
most people dont like who they are or some people cant fit in to a type of people they wanna hang out with and young people naturally try to act like something they are not but as we grow older most up us learn to be happy with who we really are i say most cuz not everyone overcomes this but it is totally normal i think

I would do a scavenger hunt (if you live in a nice neighborhood and can trust your neighbors). I did it for my sisters surprise 13th bday and the kids loved it. Split the kids into even teams. Create a general list of items (paper clip, mechanical pencil, penny from birth year of the birthday boy/girl, red rubber band, purple sock etc) and let them run some energy out. This will use up at least a good half hour if not more. The longer, more random your items list, the longer it's going to take. Team that gets the most or all of the items gets some kind of prize. My neighbors really got into it, and the kids really enjoyed it too.
prob neighborhood hide and go seek, when i was in that age group I always loved playing that... You can also play chicken, were you run at another person (not cars) and see who gets out of the way first
When I was 13, I had a party at my place with 12 girls and just me. That was not an easy task.

So trust me when I say this, if you want 48 teens to have a good time, you need

1.Loud music (it's entertaining and forces people to get close when they speak to each other)

    2.Lots of food and drinks

    3.Luck

And at your age, the only games they will like will be Spin the Bottle and Seven Minutes in Heaven.

    Good luck; you'll need it.

What's with teenagers, once puberty begins?

When we're children; we hug, kiss our friends, cuddle, and do stuff older people would find awkward.

When a lot of people become a teenager though, you find it awkward to get platonic-ally intimate with a lot of people.

Why? I've never understood that; I'm perfectly fine with doing that sort of things with people. What's with teenagers, once puberty begins?
    ...What are you talking about?

My SISTER WHO IS SIX finds all that ackward haha

And I'm 17 and my moms 37 and we do all that stuff with people...

I think you've got it wrong hahaWhat's with teenagers, once puberty begins?
Because when were little we are innocent and have innocent thought BUT when were older we know exactly what sex is and it becomes awkward. For example when I was 5 I used to cuddle with my cousin and we kissed[on the cheek] and hug all the time but know we feel awkward doing that and if people sees us they might think were lesbians :p
because when your little boys look extremely similar to girls and the concept of homosexuality and sex hasn't arrived yet. Also kids don't hug and kiss for pleasure they do it because it's what grown ups do...........ironic really when you think about it :D
Because it becomes awkward when you get older. We now know what sex is and all sorts of things. It's all part of growing up. It's not fun but it's life.
o my God would you just shutup with all these why do teens why do teenss ??? Its a free country okay you can do whateva you wana do but maybe we dont wana be the same way as you gosh!!
Cause people i guess lose interest in that kind stuff or do it because of peer pressure.

People change. Not everyone is the same.
    okay,

    everyone's different.

What are some good, not crazy risky dares for teenagers aged 16-18 for around downtown at night?

    streaking

    toilet papering

    saran wrapping cars

    fish wire around school campus

all the old school stuff works

What are some good, not crazy risky dares for teenagers aged 16-18 for around downtown at night?
flirt with a random guy.. that looks safe. try to sneak into a club or bar that you aren't of age to go to

Why do teenagers refuse to wait when it comes to having sex?

Cause kids want to grow up fast. Apparently sleeping around makes them mature. Why do teenagers refuse to wait when it comes to having sex?
They can wait. Sex is a painfully pulling back and forth of the flesh to release mindless endorphins that last a minute then you feel the same when done. Laughing or smiling releases endorphins in a innocent natural way. Look at each other with love and understanding. Bodies are closed until creation in marriage happens. Notice how some get angry or have a painful look on their face because they want the pain from sex. Also, the mind becomes mindless or zones out when thinking about having sex which, makes the mind crave a mindless sex act. Love is eternal and can be shared with everyone. Love brings forth knowledge and wholesome activities. Lust is painful, mindless, destroys emotions, can cause disease, make unwanted pregnancy, and is temporary. Greet one another with a handshake, holy kiss on the cheek, or hug.

Men there is no need for you to get manipulated by women again. You might as well get defiled by a prostitute for that. There is no need to have sex or masturbate to ejaculation for health reasons. The body can happily cope with unused sperm, with no impact on fertility or sex drive.

Women you will now receive the love of men you always wanted.

No matter what size or shape you are you can love one another as self instead of throwing stones at one another. Why do teenagers refuse to wait when it comes to having sex?
I did not refuse to wait. I thought about giving my virginity away, and made a very mature decision, a decision that I still don't regret three years later.

I do not have sex with my fiance, I make love to him. Besides, I personally feel that sex is important in a relationship, and waiting for marriage isn't worth it. There is a kind of connection during sex that isn't expressed in other aspects of the relationship. You can love someone with your whole heart, but that doesn't make sex with them any better. Being connected so someone physically, sexually, emotionally and mentally is one of the most powerful feelings in the entire world.

Then you have to ponder the people who have low self esteem, and have sex to try to build themselves back up. Then there are people who feel they're not worth anything else.

There's a whole plethora of reasons that can't exactly be stereotyped into one mass group. So stop trying to stereotype, and start listening to each story as it unfolds.
We aren't all like that. What you hear really isn't the norm; the statistics say that only 20% of teens will have sex before their out of highschool and like 60% will have sex before their married - so that leaves a good 40% that don't! So don't get caught up in the hype - I'm a virgin and plan on keeping it that way!

Plus from what I've heard it's to feel mature and escape your teen-drama-problems. But idk, that's just what people say! Plus girls and boys my age are for the first time having the feelings and hormones of wanting to have sex - they don't know how to keep it in their pants!
Most teens can't wait because of peer pressure, and the pressure by their partner. In teen boys, they want to know what it feels like, and most teenagers after they've had their ';first time'; love the feeling of it soo much, that they want it more and more. So it's a common feeling that most teenagers get when they're with their partner.
They think they know it better than other people, and that it's cool to have sex when they're between 12 and 16.

Well i'll tell you this; if i meet a perfect girl but she did it when she was underaged, then i'll kick her out of my house and life.

But that's my opinion, there are probably guys that don't mind it that his girl did it while she was a friggin kid and should be playing outside or something like it instead of playing with some dude's c0ck.
some do some dont. its just a decision some people try to make.

some are sluts, some a virgins, some are raped/pressured, and some just find love early (its rare but it is possible) some also want a family at this age so it would be to have kids

i think its okay as long as its your own choice as long as your not bragging about it because thats just annoying and if they are ready for the precautioned consequences. and if you do it with someone you care about very much.

teenagers also have libido as well, a long time ago at this age, we would be married and have at least like two kids. its just the way our bodies are

and its just the way of life
    I'm a virgin and proud.

I don't want a guys wet willy inside of me and then leave me on welfare.

I don't want 6 kids by 3 different men, and moaning and groaning because I don't know who my baby daddy is and make a total dumb crackhead of myself on Jerry Springer.

I'm proud to be a virgin, because you're not a slut or whore like some hoochies out there lifting their skirts for 5 dollars for a *******, so they can smoke up some weed.

    Not me, buddy.
Because most of them think that they're ready to be all grown up. I'm 15 and not a virgin. But that was my decision, and now I know that I'm NOT all grown up and NOT ready for the stress and responsibility of having it.

But once you start having it, its really hard to stop. It feels really good, its like a drug to some people. You can get addicted very easily.

Hope that this helped, have a Merry Christmas sweetie!
Lot's of them do wait until there later teen years to get themselves involved in sex.

Others really have no excuse because they are informed of the dangers and just think that the chances it's going to happen to them are too low.
It is a personal choice. I had sex for the first time when I was 17. I was as safe as I could be without abstaining. I do not regret it, nor do I disrespect those who wait. Just be safe and informed no matter what your choice may be.

    Merry Christmas
one, not all do, and two the ones that do not wait usually have a reason to do it. my boyfriend and i had been dating for 3 years in high school and i wouldn't go back and not do it even though we are broken up now
it is because they are often enticed by sex so many times. It is simply LUST and a desire to feel something new. However, this something new can often lead to pregnancy and other unwanted issues.
I guess most teens are Christian. They chose not to ruin their reputation as a prostitute. They just want to focus on education, finish university, married and have future kids.
I'm 15 and my friend is nearly 18 and we both are virgins still. I think most kids do wait it's just the ones that are having sex brag aout it
because teenagers are dumb. they have been dumb since the beginning of time.

Peer pressure from friends or the partner

    Curiousity

    Fooling around going too far

My reason was curiousity. . . I have a son now.
because some teenagers (im a virgin too lol) cannot control their hormones and don't want to.
Now now, let's not stereotype! It's Christmas for Heaven's sake!

Honestly, out of a school of 1,250, only one girl has been pregnant in my 3 years so far in school :/.
Because they want to be independent and all that but their just hurting themselves.
Because our hormones are raging like mad cows.

    :|

this is where our vibrators come in.
    I'm a teenager

    a virgin

    and damn proud of it

don't know why some people think its a bad thing.?
Don't put all teens in one box!!! I'm 14 and still a virgin, and I plan on staying that way until I am married.
Hormones, Peer pressure, maybe they think they're cool..? I dunnooooo?
Not all are like that. I'm a virgin and am waiting!!

    :) I'm 16 btw
I am waiting and It is simple, but now it is the 'cool' thing to do.
Because they think that it makes them cool and mature.
omg this is a generalization i am 17 and still a VIRGIN
    we have raging hormones
Because once you start, you just can't stop. The feeling is soo good.

Plus as ';every one else is doing it'; they have to do it too.

    All my best (:

E-mail me if you want to know anything else (:
Belive it or not but teenagers do actualy have a sex drive and sex is no longer seen as anything special

Pros and Cons of a later curfew for teenagers?

If you can list some Pros and Cons that would be great!Pros and Cons of a later curfew for teenagers?
    cons~ more reasponsibility

    more time to goof off

    trouble

    pros for parents~ more worry {parents are made to worry}

    more house respect

    less fights

    ect.. the list goes onnnnnn....

hope i helped!!!!Pros and Cons of a later curfew for teenagers?
    Curfew is retarded .

I say parents should be held responsible for curfew not the law .
con: more time to screw up

con: teenagers driving at night on freeways

pro: the teenagers will stop complainging for about 2 weeks
Con- They have more time to misbehave

Pro- They may comply with you more because you are giving them something they want
I never had a curfew but my mom always used to tell me ';girls have no business running the streets past 1am'; and in a strange way she was right..Once clubs, and bars close {I was underage but able to sneak in because I was a girl} there isn't anything to do but act a darn fool in the streets..I think curfews are stupid as hell but if your child is under 18 then they should have one! If you don't have a curfew then you have all night to get into trouble..I did and most likely your kids are too..sit down with your child and talk about a curfew and agree on a time so that both you and your son/daughter are happy
I hate curfews. pros:more time to hang out or do whatever

    cons:more time to screw up
Curfews don't make sense to me.

I think the time a teenager comes home should be on a case to case basis.......

Some parents have ONE set curfew. For EVERYTHING.

    Example:

If you're going on a date with your boyfriend, you probably should be home by 10-11.

But, if you're going to your friend's house to study, does it really matter if you're 11:30-12 getting home?

    It doesn't make sense.

anyone here like tht ?Why do teenagers want to hang out with people who look good ?
Often teens are so self conscious they feel the need to hang out With he so called '; beautiful'; people to receive recognition and acknowledgement. It is a pathological need to earn the approval of people they often do not like! Hope this helps! Why do teenagers want to hang out with people who look good ?
I don't know, maybe its just a trendy thing. But I'm a teen myself, and most teenager girls always seem to hang around with the bitchy ones and they ignore the pretty shy ones.
im the opposite, im 17 and i have always hung out with the not so good looking ppl, i feel less jugded and i dont have to worry about being accepted.

and i know im not ugly, im just that way
Teenagers are very bent to like the trends and the traditions of the fashion urban culture. It's an cultural imprisonment, in my opinion.
    Well, wouldn't you ?
I hate to admit it... but yeah i do.

What do teenagers do for fun in Uruguay?

I'm doing a report and I need to know asap! What do teenagers do for fun in Uruguay?
Study during the week. During weekends, they spend time at the beach, participating in watersports, or just hanging with friends at local parks and other establishments. Others take weekend trips to neighboring Montevideo or Buenos Aires for nightlife and shopping. What do teenagers do for fun in Uruguay?
Lots of teenagers must study at night because they work during the hours of the day.

At their free hours they do sports, go to shoppings, go to some friends home, drink ';mate';, watch TV, hire DVD, explore the web and chat a lot.

The week ends they go dancing and eat pizza.

On vacations everybody travel somewhere. Camping, beach or where the money is sufficient.
nobody in uruguay has any fun its a cesspit its like traveling 200years back in time

How did teenagers rebel 8,000 years ago, 2000 years ago, 1000 years ago, 500 years ago?

Surely they must have. Just curious. How did teenagers rebel 8,000 years ago, 2000 years ago, 1000 years ago, 500 years ago?
Whatever their parents wanted for them, they did the Opposite...

It's always been about the search for one's own true identity! How did teenagers rebel 8,000 years ago, 2000 years ago, 1000 years ago, 500 years ago?
'Rebellion' at puberty is the norm for human beings.

An analogy is in the deer family. All summer while their antlers are n the velvet, they are calm and docile and all the males run together. Then in the fall they have a surge of hormones, their antlers stop growing and harden and they get aggressive.

At the onset of puberty (roughly the teen years) there is a hormonal surge and teenagers 'rebel' against the co-dependent relationships they have been in for most of their lives trying to become independent. What form this 'rebellion' manifests itself in depends largely on the environment the kid is in. Like mentioned, Alexander the Great drove his chariot...probably out 'hot rodding' like today's teenagers are prone to do in their vehicles. Use your imagination and think from the perspective of what was available for a teenager in a particular culture and time period.
I am sure they did, but of course in the oldest time phases you mentioned the teenagers would have in fact been considered adult tribes people with adult responsibilities. In the stone age lifespan was only 30-40, in the iron age maybe ten years older. So possibily taking on adult roles would have channelled their natural rebellion.
We have a first hand account of youthful rebellion in the fourth century AD. St Augustine of Hippo wrote 'Confessions', which includes long sections about his teenage years before his conversion to Christianity. One story which he recounts is about how he was involved with a gang of yobs who stripped all the fruit off somone's pear tree and threw it away, just for the hell of it. He also writes about his sexual misconduct and his intellectual arrogance at that time.
Married / dated people their parents didn't approve of.

The adulthood at 18 thing is new. Women would be married at 14 - 16 during much of the past, and premarried sex was far more rare, which is easier when one gets married so young!

They didn't likely wear anything rebellious, they didn't have enough clothing for that. You might only own 3 outfits in those days.

Boys might not take up their father's business, and leave home instead when they were expected to remain there. And they fought with their parents I'm sure, and snuck out to see friends and romantic partners.

I believe I read that Alexander the Great would go chariot riding when he was supposed to be studying.
Eve was the original REBEL. Adam just went along because the sex was great. Alexander The Great conquered the known world in his twenties and then died from syphilis. He started young !

My boy wouldn't cut his hair after he learned the story of Samson and Delilah, so I told him to go find his own cave to dwell in. Lol.

Tell your rebel, seriously, read a book. Pay attention in history class, or just in school period. They just might figure out how great we have things and be thankful to those who provide for them.
what you call rebelling is just a normal reaction to to days Society.

in the past there was no need for.

  • Why is teenagers not having regular breakfast??

giv reason why. tyWhy is teenagers not having regular breakfast??
Because their body is not awake yet!

Seriously .. it's not lazines. Kids going through puperty (about 13 to 17 years old) have a different time-rythm, which is about 2 hours delayed, compared to small children and adults.

That's why they have a hard time falling asleep at their bedtime, and that they are not really alert until a couple of hours after they get to school.

So normal breakfast time at home is a couple of hours before their body is waking up. They should eat anyway, as they rarely have the opportunity to sit down and have a real breakfast at 10:30 am.Why is teenagers not having regular breakfast??
Because all breakfast cereal taste disgusting expect coco pops

and fruit loops trust me I should know i'm 15 and hate breakfast any chance to get away from I do it! unless I am a fruit loop? ;-)
i think they dont have time..
They sleep late and don't have time. Around here, the high school bus comes at the ungodly hour of 6 a.m. That means the students must rise prior to that, dress, shower, do their hair, etc.

Or, they (girls, mostly) think skipping breakfast will help them lose weight.
    theres just no time

    ...school starts at 8...

and lots of ppl tend to wake up as late as possible

    ...

Do female teenagers demand plastic surgery or to be skinny because of celebrity coverage in the media?

yes definitely, they put so much pressure on girls because they are the 'in' thing and girls want guys to find them attractive, if they started to put average size girl in there than more girls would become average sizes, boys have got it into their heads that they need to have skinny models but what is the point, alot of them don't eat and when they don't they bring it back up, they are more likely to die from that then smokers are from smoking.

I think the media should get their act together as they are ruining the next generation, how far will they go???Do female teenagers demand plastic surgery or to be skinny because of celebrity coverage in the media?
    Uhh ...no.

There are other reasons than just media.

Why are teenagers so close minded to older music?

was wondering why teenagers are so close minded to music that is older? Why are teenagers so close minded to older music?
many teenagers I know are close minded to older music but I am not.I like music from the 1960s and 1970s as well as music from the 80s to today.I guess teenagers do not like music that their parents like and want to listen to all the music their friends call ';awesome';Why are teenagers so close minded to older music?
That is something of a stereotype ~ you will find that many of the users here who answer Qs about older music *are* teenagers!

Although I'm 27, I was always into 'older' {1950s+} music right from my early childhood, thanks to parental exposure to it. But in my mid-late teens {having tried and disliked a lot of the 'current' music of the 90s}, I chose to further explore pre-1980 bands, and expanded my music collection with a lot of it ~ and I still do, but I also have some 1980 - present day artists as well.

I guess some of the reasons some teenagers are closed-minded are :

    # Lack of exposure ~ younger parents listen to more recent music, and some listen just to be 'hip with the kids'.

    # They want to feel part of their peer group ~ it's not easy being the odd-kid-out because of your personal tastes, and some people are to scared to be themselves.

    # Short attention spans ~ a lot of 'chart' music is bought on impulse, based on the sound of it. Many people don't listen to full songs anymore, just a minute or so before moving on to another song. They don't 'hear' the lyrics, and when they do don't always care. So much of society is filled with background music {from TV shows to shopping centres}, that people just want songs on as 'background', but don't actually 'listen' to them.
Why are older people so closed minded to modern music?

Obviously neither of these questions will be completely accurate, but it all has to do with the cultural context. What people are familiar with is the 'right' music, and everything else is questionable at best.

And people will want to get involved in the music: follow the artist, wait for new albums, see them live, etc.

For the record, I enjoy the music of Blue Öyster Cult, Yes, Boston and others of their time, as well as much older classical music.
Because they've been brainwashed by the big labels. It's a standard part of marketing for companies to do this. They try to create a clique around their music and to brand anything else unworthy in order to lock kids into a consumer cycle in which they will habitually buy one type of thing and avoid the other without even knowing about it.

Give kids these days a Greenday CD and a CD form a similar sounding older band and they will listen to both, but ask them if they want to listen to the older one and they will say no without even giving it a try or knowing that they've just listened to it and liked it.
I'm 15, and I generally like any type of music. Any language, and culture, and any time. The only music I don't really like is the 70's and 80's. I like music before and after the 70's and 80's though. I do like some music during that time, but honestly most of it sucks in my opinion.

I especially like old Christmas songs, those are my favorite :3

I am not closed minded to music at all because of how old it is though. If I like a song, I like it, regardless of how old it is.

    I just love music. Period.
I know what you mean - but that is generalising, I do know a lot of people who love the likes of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix etc.

But to your question, it's probably because they think that their friends will not like it and that sort of music is 'out' and not in fashion anymore - I beg to differ, I prefer the older music! Music these days to me: Ndubz, Tinchy Stryder, Girls Aloud - you can blame me for liking the older music!
Teens nowadays are actually more open-minded and intelligent about music than we were when i was a teen. There are lots of kids who listen to Classic Rock, a lot of which is over 40 years old. I'll tell you this, when i was a teen in the 70's, there's no way in HELL any of us (and i mean ANY) would have been caught dead listening to anything that old. The 40's and 50's??? Ha! We couldn't have even named one artist of the era of our parents. Kids knew who Elvis was, and that was about it. If there had been a kid who was listening to Bing Crosby or Cole Porter (which would have been the time-equivalent of kids now listening to the Beatles, Stones etc) we would have thought he was some kind of alien freak show! All we knew was Punk, Disco, and Hard Rock. Teens in the 70's didn't even listened to the Beatles or other 60's music because it was considered nerdy and passe'. Teens now are way more open minded.
    it depends on the group

some my friends think oasis are the greatest thing to have hit the planet since the beatles, but they have never listened to the likes of the doors or led zep

some my friends refuse to listen to new stuff unless you can claim its genuinely good.

im 17 ever since i was about 14 i've been listening %26amp; expanding from the pixies RHCP %26amp; nirvana.

now i listen to a fair bit of blues %26amp; funk.

i suppose its just ignorance people dont like to go outside their comfort zone ie ''emo/pop'' which is the music of our generation.
This is not completely true. Sure most stereotypes depict a teenager that way, but it is more common than you think. Personally, I am a big fan of Smokey Robinson, The Tragically Hip, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd. Some teenagers are fairly close minded, but not all are.

    (:
why are some old people close minded to newer music? why are most people close minded to the genres that they arent into and music from countries that dont speak their language?

people (me included even though i try) are close minded. let he without any hang-ups be the first to throw a stone.
Troll, a lot of teenagers like older music, your just looking in the wrong places. From Old Rap, to Old Rock, to Funk, to DJ, to Old Metal, there are a lot of kids who prefer it over the new music... if you can even call it that
For those of you teens who like older music and respect it, good for you. I commend you. Those who don't, it's because of crap like MTV, and todays media that shove this pop crap down everybody's throat. Brainwashing.....
Because it's not the social norm.

That's a very generalized statement, though. I actually don't know a single teenager who's *completely* closeminded to older music.
everyone in m school pretty much likes old music i know thats not much considering that we only have 80 kids in grade 7-12 but still. it doest help that we are all hicks lol
I'm 17 and I like older music, it's just taste I guess. We are not all like that, I know a guy and his favourite artist is Frank Sinatra.
we find it interesting... like it =]

    ALOT!!!!1
I actually know a lot of teenagers who like older music. %26lt;3
we are peer pressured into hearing the popular music of today...
    Why are you generalizing?
Because god forbid they be seen as liking anything their parents might like.

Why are teenagers beating and killing homeless people?

And what punishment should they or their parents get?Why are teenagers beating and killing homeless people?
Alot of reasons. Their lives are increasingly more virtual than ever before. All of their time is spent interacting with artificial things and blocking out reality. iPods constantly in their ears, eyes always fixed on some screen, brain being stimulated by video games and chat rooms.

then theres the constant message of ';your life is worthless without fame and money'; theyre bombarded with in their music and the shows they watch on MTV or BET or VH1 and E!.

There isnt any reality to them anymore.

All of this matched with selfish parents whod rather both work full time and drive a Lexus than stay at home with their children and drive a Honda.

The modern childs world revolves completely around them. Community has collapsed. Family has collapsed. And true dignity and respect have been replaced by thug-rule and violence. Why are teenagers beating and killing homeless people?
    I don't know
Teenagers should have the right to victimize others. After all, look how they have been treated in this country. They have been enslaved by adults and forced to do chores and homework. Some have been denied their own cellphone and not allowed to smoke marijuana, drink alcohol, or use other illegal drugs. Some had to drive an old Chevy rather than a new Lexus. Some have even made to suffer the indignity of getting a part-time job! This terrible treatment causes what psychologists describe as ';teen rage';. Any young person forced to suffer these indignities must be treated with understanding and allowed to act out their aggression so they can someday feel better about themselves. Anyhow, its ';just a phase';.
They feel a sense of power when in a group together. They should get locked up for a long time for killing.
    Cause they're CRAZY! As Chris Rock said, ';Whatever happened to CRAZY?!';

The teenagers need to go to a mental hospital, and their parents need to have their parenting license revoked--oh wait, people don't need a license to raise children; that's part of the problem, in my humble opinion.
Kids these days have nothing better to do. Parents aren't teaching kids any respect. Somebody needs to beat those kids.
1-people aren't properly punished for heinous crimes now-a-days.2-It seems a lot of parents have better things to do than properly raise their kids right. 3- Look at society. Immediate-gratification is taking the place of everything from empathy and compassion to personal-growth, to becoming a person of value.
I wish I had the answer to this question - we could save a lot of innocent people pain, and also save a lot of people the hurt when they find out their child beat or killed a person!
    Some may b older child bullies out-grown play-ground beating! We dealt w/ 'em - 'rents usual atitude: ';No witnes, can't prove it.';
i don't know. I just saw a movie that some kids did that and it pissed me off. I know many people say that kids don't get stuff like that from movies and music.. but i think they do. It just takes one seed to be planted in a persuasive person's head to lead the pack.
Teenagers don't kill or beat homeless people, the people who does need treatment.
I don't know what is going on with our teens today. There must be preservative and chemichal overload from our food or something. All these bad things are happening to our physical and mental health these days. I don't know what is going on.
I don't think that enough people are taught true compassion for others (and animals).

I don't know how anyone can get a kick out of brutally killing anything.
Because they dont know any better. They should be locked in jail for 5-10 years
They want the cardboard boxes. Just let them slide...no punishment. The homeless are nuisances, like unwanted babies, just look at it like very late-term abortions.

Are ALL teenagers having sex these days?

I swear, I heard little 15 year old guys in my class talking about how they're not virgins. I never would've guessed and at FIFTEEN? Sorry having sex that young is kinda stupid, just because it ''feels good''.

Anyways, my question is, are all high schoolers having sex these days? Ive heard people from nerds to honor roll students talk about doing it. Has just about all high schoolers lost their virginity, and pretend they don't regret it?

I'm a senior and clean and I'm soo glad. Are ALL teenagers having sex these days?
A lot of those kids are lying, they just want to sound cool or something. Don't take it seriously. If they are having sex, it's probably not that fun anyway. Teen sex is usually of very low quality. Sex won't be amazingly mind-blowing until they're in their 20s.Are ALL teenagers having sex these days?
All of these people saying that because teenagers are having sex that makes them a ****.I've been with my boyfriend almost 2 years %26amp; we have had sex. That does not make me a **** or a whore. He is the only one I've been with %26amp; plan on keeping it that way.We know how to protect ourselves.check yrselves

    im not :)

    haha im 14

actually like all but 2 of my friends are virgins

cause im not friends with dirty kids

and its basicly just the dirts who have sex young (at my school anyway, no offence to anyone)

and lol your freaking out about 15?

about 3/4 of the grade 7 and 8 division had had sex before. so thats 12 and 13 year olds.

actually one of my friends who was 12 at the time (and in grade 7) apparently did meth and had sex with.. well the town whore. and she got pregnant.

    yeaaaaah.

but she had a miscarrage cause she was like waaay underwieght.

    anyways,

i personally think its stupid to have sex that young

its not AS BAD if you at least do it woth a long term boyfriend/girlfriend

but like most people i know who have sex do it with like ALOT of people. people their not even dating.

its really gross. and EVERYONE calls them sluts and whores behind their backs. even their friends.

buuut whatever. i could write like a 2 page rant about this but im not going to lol

    im done :)
I'm in 8th grade, and I will admit, I know a lot of people who aren't virgins. I am, and I feel like a total outcast. I guess people are doing it because of all the peer pressure. Its like, pressure to try and be cool, and say you have. It's been stressing me out a lot lately. All my friends talk about ';how good it feels'; and ';how fun it is'; and I have just been dying. I have a boyfriend, but we are kind of old school, like, probably going to wait.
no. I'm a freshman and im a virgin. I don't plan on waiting for marriage but if that's how it happens then fine. I am also an honor student basketball and softball player and football water girl so I fit in with about every group from school. some may not regret it and too me if I had sex right now (im 15 in 6 days) and I wouldn't regret it because It was a choice I made. but no most aren't it's just the ones that are want everyone to know about it.
im fourteen and clean and proud to be....at my school i know kids younger that have done it...its crazy its the new next big thing...i think they do it cause its more excepted now days then it used to be...but seriously i think parents need to step in and teach their kids about it at a young age and dont over protect them but make sure they understand the consequences of haveing unprotected sex and even sex at all....kids today.last year at my school we had to do surveys as a project and one of the groups did a survey on abstinance and the questions where do u plan to stay abstinent until marraige....yes no or undicided and the results where undecided had the most....its crazy.
No, that notion has been popularized by the media, but is far from the truth! Yes many teens do have sex, but many choose not too. Right now that is the stereotype, that all high school students are obsessed with sex. (Just watch Secret Life of the American Teenager!) I don't know what high school you go to, but I know a very good portion of my high school chose not to lose their virginity.

No, Not everybody is having sex. I know several people who still haven't done the dirty. It does seem silly though that so many people are having it and they just do it with whoever. I can say that at the time, I did have a great deal of feelings for my first. But other girls I know just had sex because ';everybody else was doing it';. There are still some smart people out there. And in the end they will be happy they waited. Congrats on still being a virgin. I would be damn *** proud.
yeah most of them are some are not but do not brag about it.

i think I'm the only one who does brag about being a virgin

i had my bf finger me last night but we knew each other for 8 month before it got that far.

but we are both 18 in college.

as far as anything oral , anal or vagina nothing. and i going to keep it that way for a while.

i thought i was ready for the figuring but not i think i was a 100% there but it was enough to satisfy my curiosity for a while
Well I just graduated high school, I live in the bay area in California and most people at our school are virgins. There are plenty of sexually active people but most have been with their partner for a while and have talked about it. There are a few sluts, but what are you going to do.
    I'm 14 and I'm a virgin.

But not becoz I can't find anyone to do it with. Because I don't want to do it!

I;m going to wait for my future husband. I will have sex only and I mean ONLY after I'm married.

Not all teens are having sex here in QLD.

    We're quite clean actually.
95% of teens over 13 are no longer virgins in my county. (just where I live). more and more teens around the world are loosing their V-card at 13, 14, 15, 16, .... it really is sad and sick at the same time.

I am 18, almost 19. I graduated last spring and I am still a virgin. I will be until my wedding night.
There are kids I know in 7th/8th having sex. It's the norm now. It's not that big of a deal. And the more girls an attractive guy has sex with the more popular he is and the more girls want him because he has experience.
im 13. i only know one girl who had sex. but she is a hoe im sorry to say. im not having sex for a while. but i have condoms in case i decide to have sex. but i probably wont.
I'm a Junior and I haven't had sex but my ex wanted me to have sex with him and I called it off right there and then so I'm still a Virgin and proud of it.
    well not all are but

    1. young people having sex are the main topic on the Y!A adolescent section.

    2. you would here more about people having sex then people not having sex

i think having sex at that age will say that i am easy or slutty
I'm clean and I'm waiting til mariage!

    I know a girl who's 13 and got pregnant by a 22 year old!!

    She should file charges.

Not everyone has sex that young, but most are.
I know a girl. We're 13. She used to be my best friend. I am suprised she isn't pregnant yet.

I've decied to wait, I don't want to be some **** with a million guys.
no way i dont have sex

but i also dont do it cause i have morals

and i dont want my mom to shoot me

    with a shot gun lol
It seems like it. I'm 14, and I would never have sex (no, I'm not like, a nerd? lmao) but yeah. It's really stupid! Some girl is pregnant at my school...it's just sad and pathetic.
I just posted a question related to this, it goes to show that the world is so...screwed. I'm sorry to say. I'm 14 and I plan on remaining a virgin.
I'm a 13(Almost 14) Year old Virgin and proud of it! I think teen sex is horrible. Sometimese I wonder why you would do something that could make you pregnant. It's sad how many non-virgins there are these days...
Sad thing is most r but not all!!!! I know some 20 year olds still a virgin not because they cant get any but its a choice they made.
i mean i know some virgins. i dont dog on em like my other friends do. see if you are a virgin at our age its either two things, u cant get any, or youre choosing to be one, thats all
not all but id say %80 of the pple who say it are just trying to sound cool. but most of high schoolers arent virgins. i am =]
I'm a virgin, i've got a promise ring too so no sex until marrige for me!
I'm A Virgin! I am a 16 year old girl, and I keep to the';True Love Waits'; and I want a promise ring.
100% Abstininte, thank you very much. Im going to take the purity oath.
    Thanks for stereotyping.

    I'm 16 and a virgin.
i'm in high school and there's only one person in my grade who has, i haven't yet and it wont be anytime soon :P
im a senior too and a virgin
Hm, well I know that 3 years ago when I was 15 I wasn't a virgin. And I didn't know many people who were. The majority of teenagers do have sex. I lost my virginity at 14, I regret not waiting another year or so, but I don't regret the fact that I had sex! When you are in love with a person its human nature to want to be close in a sexual relationship. Have you had a long term relationship? (Anything over I would say 9 months?) If not, I can see why you are thinking this. Also, having sex, doesn't make you ... ';unclean';...once you have sex, you should start going to a gynecologist. STD's are more common then people think. But other than the occasional STD, having sex definitely does not make you unclean, in fact it is a very healthy thing.

  • Why are teenagers so proud of being pregnant?

I think it's absolutely disgusting when I see tenagers having kids, it shows that they can't take responsibility. And then they end up single and then they think they're gonna be good parents even if they'll just ruin their own life'sWhy are teenagers so proud of being pregnant?
I completely agree - it is one of the most disturbing factors in this world. They gloat and act like it is the greatest thing in the world.

Their parents of daughters ought to be ashamed they raised proud sluts and the parents of sons should have taught them to keep it in their pants or at least put a rubber on it.Why are teenagers so proud of being pregnant?
I've known lots of ppl young and old that shouldn't have been aloud to have kids. It depends on the person. You can't generalize all teen mom's as being slutty and ignorant. They got themselves into a less than ideal situation, and that baby is coming into this world. They should be the very best they can be, it won't be easy but it can be done. No sense in shaming them, they will find out the realities very soon, and hopefully they will grow into very good parents.
Wow you've just managed to group everyone as the same. Yes you get teenagers who are immature and can't take the responsibility and end up single and ruining their lives but then you get teenagers who are better parents then older women. Age has nothing to do with being a parent, look at all these parents in the news that are in their 30's who are in court for beating up their children or leaving them with an abusive adult.

My partner works in a school and has heard teenagers say that they don't need to go to school cos they'll just have kids and live off the benefits which annoys me but you also get people in their mid 20's/30's who think the same.

I watched a programme about a blind couple who said on tv that they only had children so they had someone to look after them which is horrible, that is not a reason to have kids and they were in their 30's. At least most teenagers when they get pregnant want the child for the sake of the child not so they have someone to look after them.
Well, not all teenage pregnancies result in ';ruined life's';.

I know it is disturbing to see these young girls making such hard, adult decisions. We all know they are not with the love of their lifes and will end up single. but compassion goes a long way when dealing with girls in this situation. I have seen many ';step up'; and become very good mothers. Very rarely do you hear a mother say that a child ruined her life. It changes your life..in many ways. Some of them hard hard changes...but to say it ';ruins'; it..is harsh.

Also I think that teenage girls who are pregnant may appear ';proud'; to you, because they are trying to be strong in the face of such harsh judgement. None of us are perfect and a unplanned pregnancy puts our questionable decisions on display to the world. This makes many girls get defensive and hard. The best thing to do is see this as a decision that has already been made, and hope that the girl takes full responsibity to become a wonderful (single) mom to her child. Single moms need all the help, understanding and support they can get.
    I'm a teenager.

And i've been trying for this baby with my partner for 2 years.

We're stable, and he has a good job. I just left mine because i've had so many miscarriages that my midwife recommended that i stayed home, just to be safe.

We're moving house in a few months time, and we're perfectly capable of looking after our child.

I agree that it is disgusting when people under the age of consent of children just to get housing/benefits, but i see no problem with anyone over the age, with a secure environment for a child to be brought up in, having children.
You are so ignorant, it's outstanding what a narrow minded idiot you are. Have you met every teen mother? Do you know all their circumstances? Who do you think you are? God? because you have absolutely no right to judge people, because I'm pretty sure you are not perfect. It's true that SOME teen mothers can mess up their lives and the lives of their children by becoming irresponsible mothers, but so can any adult REGARDLESS of their age. Wow I see your just a fan of stereotyping, someone with a weak mind who has obviously been influenced by the media. I hope one day your eyes are opened and you grow up.

    Are you even a parent?
i think its their own choice, if they feel they can handle a baby well good on them. also when they are young they are teenagers and have a child they have more energy to look after the child and if they have a child they know the consequences of having a baby which is no partying until the child is old enough to look after itself.
Are you kidding me? Are you seriously kidding me? They walk around proud because they are pregnant?? Who the **** can not be proud and excited to have a baby, no matter the age. So we dont have the right to be happy we are having a baby just because we are young? Are you serious? So in your mind we arent aloud to be happy? Would it make you happier if we walked around in sorrow or just aborted our babies? Who are you to judge us!! You have no right! We have every right to be happy to be having a kid! What would you rather us just abort them? Sure it'll be tough but its worth it in the end! Obviously you dont have a kid because you wouldnt say **** like that! Lots of teenagers make GREAT mothers! You have no right to say we dont! And ya know what?! I've seen very very bad mothers that were adults! My mom used drugs and forced me to raise my newborn sister and toddler brother and I did a GREAT job and I was just 11-13! If I could do it I'm sure as hell that 16, 17, even 14 year olds can raise a child! You have no right to say that just because we are young means we wont make good mothers because its not true! Take a closer look around you! You dumb person. This is offensive to all teen mothers. I hate people like you!
this questions rediculous. why shouldnt teenagers who are pregnant be proud? so if someone whos 19 gets pregnant thats wrong but someone whos 20 gets pregnant thats fine? how the hell can you judge? im 18 and im 9 weeks pregnant, me and my partner have been together 5 years and we are not splitting up. alot of teenagers are better parents than their parents were to them so i think anyone who0 can judge someone for getting pregnant should just keep their opinions to themselves. posting a question like this in a place where people come to get advise and reassure themselves is so rediculous.

and another thing how can you blame a teenage parent for ';ruining'; their lives for their child a bad parent?! how?! thats what a parent does for god sake! i hope your not a parent.
I find people like you disgusting, its non of your business what anyone else is doing, there not affecting you and you dont know everyones individual circumstances.

I myself dont agree with all teen pregnancies but it is wrong to put them all into one group and to be such a ignorant prick!

There are bad mums who cant take responsibility in all age groups the same as there are good mums as well.
actually it can show that the DO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. Obviously having the baby is harder than getting an abortion and they are trying to do the best they can. Yes there are some bad ones out there but there are also a lot of GOOD teenage parents out there. Maybe you should stop throwing stones cuz I am pretty sure you live in a glass house yourself
ok i have a few points to raise....

    1. at least they decided to keep the child... even if the child gets adopted out. they have a chance at life.

    2. a girl i went to school with gave birth in yr 12. she finished high school and went to uni - to prove a point to her son. is she stupid and ignorant. she worked really hard to make the most of her life, and make her son proud of her, and make him do well in school (as she had to take care of a child and she stuck it out)

i do know what you mean though, but it is not fair to judge them all that way
i second that! these girls need to be doing more homework and less sex. it is horrible. i feel bad for the children because their mom is only 14 or 15 and honestly they don't have a lot of opportunities to give things to these kids. my best friends mom had her when she was 14 then had her sister at 15. these girls lived poor had cock roaches never had clean clothes or good food. they lived on ramen noodles. now my best friend has to take care of her mom because her mom never grew up. its wrong. either wrap it up or don't do it.
umm, im a teenage parent and im super proud of it. Im going to college this summer and couldn't be happier. Plus i just got engaged last month. Get a life.....were proud to be parents because its a gift from GOD REGARDLESS of the age.

Plus im super im just as good if NOT BETTER the ADULT parents.

    GET OVER IT%26gt;
depends on the teen... some teens make great moms.. my friend got pregnant at 17, right before graduating high school.. and she didn't gloat or act proud either... but she's a great mom and her daughter is now 7 1/2 and a very sweet/smart/loving child... she even has a 3 year old girl now too.

a 12-15 year old is a different story... they cant even get a job to support a child... but even then I tend to keep my mouth shut and my opinions to myself.
I dont know you but i am guessing u are a sad old ugly cow who is just jelous as she has been unfortunate not to find her own happieness!

U are right, 13/14/15 year olds with children is probably a bad idea - but who are you to comment.

    Get a life!
i totally disagree i was 19 when i got pregnant i am liviving with my bf we are very stable and i no we are better parents than a lot of parents that are older than us
That's CRAP. im 19 i have a 2 yr old i am 8 weeks pregnant. I AM STILL A TEENAGER. and i guarantee that i am a better mum than many out there who are not teenagers.
It shows that they don't have the faintest idea of what morals are. They have not been taught right from wrong or they have rejected it.
u r v right, actually they r getting grown up newly,so they think they can do anythg now,how stupid r they

What are some fun things to do for teenagers in Dublin?

Me and my friend are going to Dublin for two days (and two nights) and I'm wondering if there's anything we for sure have to see while we're there. We're seeing a concert the second night but other than that...what's fun for two teenage girls? What are some fun things to do for teenagers in Dublin?
a nagin? saps answering the questions. only knackers go drinking in a field so dont bother.

shopping and go for walks on the piers and visit croke park ; do do do!What are some fun things to do for teenagers in Dublin?
knacker drinking in some field..hehehehhe. true.

who are you going to see?

    very cool. enjoy it.

eh well it depends what you think is fun. its kind of a tough question really. there is things but i have a blank atm.
if ur going to dublin u wont need to ';bring'; a naggen

I feel like an adult trapped in a teenagers body. what do i do?

I'm 17, graduating early, grew up really fast, I don't feel like a rebelious teen I just feel like I have the maturity of an adult but none of the rights.I feel like an adult trapped in a teenagers body. what do i do?
The only advice I can offer is some that you will either not accept or not understand... at least not yet.

Here are my words of wisdom:

Youth is Wasted on The Young.

I had heard this when I was younger and never understood it till almost 20 years later. Some Day so will you.I feel like an adult trapped in a teenagers body. what do i do?
    with rights come responsibility

when you move out of the house, you're most likely going to have to pay for everything (unless your parents decide to support you, they don't legally have to once you're 18)

in order to do that you have to get a job or a student loan (if your in school)
Just so you know... I'm eighteen, but I look twelve... it kind of has the same implications...

Everytime I go and see a movie I get asked I.D.

I don't drink, smoke or take drugs because I don't need too.

People can be a little shocked if I come out and say something mature and intellegent but understanding if I say something childish and dumb...

I topped my english class in grade eight even though I had missed 100 days due to illness.

All I can say is hopefully in twenty years I'll look eighteen... lol
I felt the same thing in Highschool.

I always felt like I wasn't right where I was, I felt like I should be out of school and on my own already.

But after I graduated, it just made it better. Being on your own is great.
First of all ask yourself this do i need to be a reboils teen?frankly i think that's fine because it just means that you are responsible and will make good choices like not getting pregnant at a young age.
1 more year and you're legally an adult.

Try to enjoy whats left of your youth while you can, because soon it's going to be gone and you're going to miss it.
    PARTY
We all felt that way at seventeen, enjoy your teenage years.

Songs about teenagers and growing up and rebelling and stuff?

songs about like your parents want you to be one thing but you want to be the other and things like that prefer 90's plus but dont mind if older!Songs about teenagers and growing up and rebelling and stuff?
Perfect by Alanis Morisette. More from the parents point oif view, but it's supposed to spark recognition in teens.

    Teenagers by My Chemical Romance.

To a point, Only the Good Die Young by Billy Joel. The narrator attempts to convince a girl to be more wild, and he mentions how she was locked away as a child, and how her mother 'never gave a prayer for me.' as she heavily disliked the narrator,

Silhouettes by Smile Empty Soul.Songs about teenagers and growing up and rebelling and stuff?
Cant help with90-s songs I'm a bit too old to know many songs from that period, But 'My Generation' by The Who or going back to th 80s there is a song by Cyndi Lauper called 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' which is real along the lines of what you may be looking for. my favourite lyrics being.. 'Phone rings in the middle of the night, My father yells when you gonna live your life right?' and she replies 'Oh Daddy dear we're not the fortunate ones and girls just wanna have fun'. I do not know weather or not it was also re-released in the 90's too. I cannot think of any others sorry
