Are there hotels in California where teenagers (age 16) can get rooms without their parents staying with them?

It would be all females. We're not looking to do anything risky. We just want to go on a vacation. I'm just not sure if you can have a hotel room without being 18. The parents would approve of hte hotel room and pay for it with their credit card. But I'm wondering if we can check ourselves in and they don't have to be there...Are there hotels in California where teenagers (age 16) can get rooms without their parents staying with them?
No, I think not. As minors, you must have a responsible adult. Put yourself in the position of the hotel owner for a moment, and you will understand why. So sorry, as it could be fun...Are there hotels in California where teenagers (age 16) can get rooms without their parents staying with them?
I know -- I'm sorry. :(

Technically in most states, if there is no adult (over 18) with you, you are being neglected and your parents will be charged..
