Can you suggest any books?
=]Fiction books that deal with issues in teenagers?
The series The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a great example of girls growing up and dealing with a number of teen issues. The Astonishing Adventures of FanBoy and GothGirl by Barry Lyga is also a great teen book. Jodi Picoult has some great novels that deal with teen issues as well, like My Sister's Keeper, 19 Minutes, %26amp; The Tenth Circle.Fiction books that deal with issues in teenagers?
wow, there are so many. can you be more specific? what issues are you interested in?
Look at about anything from Chris Crutcher. They're dated, but usually pretty good at addressing the issues teenager's often face.
';She's Come Undone'; by Wally Lamb... teen problems, including an eating disorder, depression, and other problems; but a good writer who is sensitive to this tells the story, and there is an interesting conclusion. Good book. Fiction.
';Catcher in the Rye'; by Salinger, but I'm guessing you already know all about this book.
';The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian'; by Sherman Alexie. Though a book that really is often an autobio, it's a young adult fiction work that hits all the notes a teen faces, whether that young person going off to high school is an Indian or not. Struggles, issues, young love... this book is great. Made me laugh out loud, and the sad went right to the heart. Great writing.
Go Ask Alice
I don't really know if this is what you are looking for, but it really is a great book and worth reading.
I liked Waiting Games.
I gave it to my daughter and she is 14.
She enjoyed it.
