What is the number one problem facing teenagers today?

Stress.

Which stems from a host of things.

Sicknesses, either the teen, a family member or a close friend.

Death.

School violence

Home violence

Sex, the pressure to have it, even if you don't want to, and the consequences when you have it.

Drugs and alcohol. The pressure to take them or watching a good friend/family member going down him because of using it.

No one to turn to. Adults that get mad when you say how you feel, adults that say you don't know what you are talking about and adults that ignore or neglect you.

Sexual or physical or emotional abuse from any source.

School grades and the unfair grading system

The future, in the way of earning a living, but most important, will there be a earth to have a future on.

Parents who rather earn money for that big screen. plasma TV than spend time with their teens.

Parents and others that never praise, just criticize and compare.

Being accpeted by their peers. This involves personality, looks, grades and weight. What is the number one problem facing teenagers today?
sexWhat is the number one problem facing teenagers today?
Anti -social behaviour due to gangs , teen pregnacy, drug abuse, alocohol, size zero becuase they want to like

their idol such as victoria beckham, modonna, or what to please their peer or just fashion, etc. Sexual transmitted disease due to ignorance and only chatting which is not secure enough because most people are not true to themselves and are liers.
the media
Stupidity.
Lack of sleep.
DRUGS
There r so many problems... but I think lack of interaction with their parents, who are too busy to spare some time for them. Family is being treated as primary school for the children %26amp; when children enter in teenage period they become more confused when they face new face of the society. I think this is the time when they require guidance from their family members...... %26amp; they feel alone under problems when they see themselves alone..... this is the no. I problem.....so don't keep alone yr children when they enter in such age....
Bullying in American schools. Bullying is out of control, in our schools in America. Kids who are bullyed, don't want to be called a ';snitch'; so they don't go to guidance to get advice on being bullyed.
Sex!
global warming
not taught respect
Accidents. More specifically, road accidents. I'm 17 and the road toll is so bad in Australia that I was sitting in a room with only 19 other 16/17 year olds and told 'atleast 1 of you will not be around in 10 years'.

Recently the RTA made it so L platers have to do 120 hours instead of 50, over 12 months instead of 6 (before they can go for their P's). Lets hope this works.
Sex and peer pressure.
Ignorance. If they would be encouraged to open their eyes and actually think critically, they would quickly arrive at the truth.

Instead, they're fed a batch of baloney that involves feeling good about oneself (when one doesn't merit it), believing based on emotions rather than logic, and doing things for reasons they don't really follow.

And that's just in the public schools.
i wouldnt say drugs or sex..adults do it just as much or more. drugs and sex is a animal thing.not really a problem. im a teen and it annnoys me when people constanly blame sex and drugs and tv thats the thing we dont gives a rats about.. that just is a part of life.. ..coming from a highschooler i would say that the biggest problem is being someone...its hard to be yourself when the people around you might not like you or might like you so much that you become bigheaded and then people dont like you..this causes alot of stress wich can lead to drugs and other activities...... its also hard when ur just thrown out into the world after highschool to not many people are *fit* persay to live on thier own..and have a hard life suffering from depression and lonliness. i have to help alot of my freinds all of my freinds want to be somone want to be loved cared for and took care of...tho everyone wants that.. ..really that is not teenage problem its bascily EVERYONE...we all need to be someone OUR own person not other people or try to be something or someone we are not..we must be real... people just generaly need love.....i think i answered more than u ask but its worth it
Discipline
Peer pressure and lack of family interaction.
Stress.
The worst thing is 18 year olds whose parents assume no more responsibility for them and even worse when their parents can afford to help pay their college, but they don't because the gov. doesn't give grants or loans to kids whose parents can afford it. So, these kids are left not able to afford college, not skilled enough to get better than a near minimum wage job, can't afford a vehicle, don't have the credit to get a vehicle, same with an apartment. They need to be helped as much as possible when they are set on their own and they need to be taught in highschool how very hard it is to set your life. When a child graduates high school, the next few years plan the rest of their lives and they need to understand that and face the real world with a knowledge of how to be successful.
PEER PRESSURE trust me i am one being out of the ';circle'; is not that great so in order to be in the ';circle'; you would have to do something usually bad to get in the ';circle'; i live in a small town and the only way to fit in is DRUGS or smoke.
Drugs and alcohol.
Fitting in. Every teenager wants to fit into something.
Lack of independence and motivation to do or think for themselves.

This however, does not apply to all of them.
jamie oliver
Er...maybe self-esteem issues. No one I know (teenagers) have much self-esteem. I know I don't. I always hear people going on and on about how they hate something about themselves. ';I'm too fat.'; ';I hate my hair.';
Peer pressure. Definetly.
Acceptance
Lack of discipline, guidance, spirituality, and having parents who don't have a clue themselves.
GODZILLA
vaginal warts im guessing?
