Is it normal for teenagers (16-18) to have part-time jobs?

I think so. It's quite common in lots of Western European countries. Lots of people work at the weekend or after school in shops, cinemas, restaurants and so on.

It is very normal. Actually teenagers start working at 15 , by age 18 unless you are still in high school a full time job is expected. You make minimum wage , which isn't a lot but you have to start somewhere. Usually teenagers work in restaurants or some times amusements parks. It will make you feel great to have your own money.
