Know any sociological studies on the medias influence on teenagers causing them to weight train?

its an interesting situation teens today are facing.

media accounts as most likely to be the most destructive force to our children today, being blamed for both teens being dangerously overweight, or dangerously underweight.

this leads to the idea of which problem is more important? can they possibly be comparable? are we just going to settle for the lessert of two evils?

i spose its become a situation of ';your damned if you do, your damned if you don't';

concentrate on the macdanalds ads and become an obese teen, or follow the latest diet in dolly and become a bedridden, malnourished twig.

maybe we should just tummy tuck all the fat kids and put the lard into the anorexic / balimic people... solve alot of problems...Know any sociological studies on the medias influence on teenagers causing them to weight train?
In the 80's and 90's the action figures changed from just muscular men to like steroid pumped titans.
