Teenagers do your parents still pick out your clothes?

Mine do, well sort of. I am 16 and when I want to buy clothes I have to show my parents, show them the price, and then they say if I can buy them or not. Teenagers are your parents like this too?? Thanks!!

I only get five pounds a month, and I usually spend it in advance.





We don't struggle for money, but my mother is careful to get things that are good value, fit well and suit me.





If I need it and the price is reasonable, she will buy it.





If I have lots of the item, or it isn't especially necessary, I buy it. However, usually she helps me pick out the right item, and sometimes puts money towards it.





She used to buy me catalogue clothing, but now we choose together. I don't mind shopping with my parents, as long as I get a say in it too.

Nope, as soon as i started making my own money, i was able to buy whatever clothes i wanted to, but mostly i don't buy my own clothes anyways, i get alotta them for my b-day and Christmas. But my parents have always been pretty cool about lettin me pick out my own clothes.
Well my parents don't see it until I get home so normally they can't say much if they don't like it because I already bought it but no my parents aren't like that at all. They just give me what they have so I can go shopping and I shop at low priced stores anyways so they don't worry so much.

if i picked out my own clothes, then i'd be looking like an idiot with too small of clothes.. lol

Well I mean when I go shopping when my mom she doesn't necessarily pick out my clothes but she is not going to spend 500 dollars on jeans. But now that I drive, she just gives me a certain amount of money and the rest is up to me.
im about to turn 16 and my mum tries to buy me clothes, she used to buy them all the time and i'd wear them once to keep her quiet but shes has got better now and lets me come to show her what i like
Yea I have to show her so she can make sure it's appropriate enough. Ya know so I won't go anywhere looking crazy. She also does it because sometimes the things I pick out are questionable and she does know fashion!!
well my mom do and am 18 turning 19 years old...that's only because i don't have a job and she gives me money to but clothes and make sure i spend wisely in the RECESSION we are in....
I'm 15, and since I was 13 I've had an allowance each month so I buy all my own clothes, toiletries make up etc. It works great!
Yes, I buy my own clothes, but I pay for them, too.
mine don't pick out my clothes but i show them the price because i'm not the one paying for it.
