Will the current batch of teenagers amount to anything?

I'm 14.. and A LOT of kids in my school act like they do NOT have a brain!!! But a few are really educated, and seem to have high goals for themselves! =DWill the current batch of teenagers amount to anything?
Of course they will. There are tons of teens that are smart and have a well planned out future. Unforunately, they are not the ones in the media's spotlight at the moment.Will the current batch of teenagers amount to anything?
Were you class valedictorian with 4.4 GPA and did you pass 12 AP classes with mostly 5's and two 4's? Did you get an almost perfect score on the SAT as a sophemore? Didn't think so.
ur not old enough to remember the 50's but all the preachers were saying ,sex, drugs, and rock and roll would ruin us all

People say that about every generation of teens. Teens of today will come into their own like the teens of yesterday.
Of course they will! They just need to believe in themselves, regardless of what anyone thinks. Make yourselfs, strong enough to withstand the temptations of drinks and drugs. Believe in hard work and play hard. As long as you don't hurt anyone intentionaly, you will be ok. I know, cause I have teenage boys, and so far they have managed to withstand, peer pressures. Just remember, Be a shepard that leads the sheep. Not the sheep who follow the shepard.

I bet when you were a teenager you got into alot of trouble too but oyu still ahve a life, and so will we

Teenagers make their own choices.





If a teenager wants to amount to anything they must choose their own path and decide to make it work.





No one can make you do anything. You have to be strong and not let others influence you.





Times are tough and we adults need to grow up too. It's crazy how we blame everyone else for our problems. I'm guilty of that myself.





However, in every situation, no matter how much I hate to---I look at me and see what I could have done to make it better instead of blaming everyone else.





Every day we should see what we can do for someone else to make their day brighter. Even if it's just a smile.
No, we are all going to be hobos, drunks, and druggies. We will have no president because no one will even be able to spell that. Harvard will be shut down as will Yale. We are going to reproduce rapidly and overpopulate the world. Then we are going to kill all the old people who ask these stupid questions.
My opinion is sincerely , no.

Yes they will........I have seen a lot of teenagers that have more aspirations than people twice their age..........

u cant judge all of us on one bad example


we have more pressure to suceed and fail form drugs, etc all at the same time


its overbearing, we have to face things that the previous generation did not


and alot of adults dont set a very good example for us any way, so please dont act holier than thou

I know plenty of older people who do not amount to anything. I think in today's society it seems there is a lack of responsibility, lack of manners, lack of respect, not just in the teens. All depends, There's the ones in the generation that make it big and the ones that don't it depends on how you want to have people think of you. Don't be so concerned on how people think of the group in general just how they think of you. It's not your fault that everyone else doesn't have enough kick in the butt as you do if you're the kind that try to make things better.





I know a lot of girls in my class are going to be the kind that will end up with a teen pregnancy and struggling make ends meet becuase their ';boy friend'; is in jail or off with some other girl, but all you can do is pray for them and wish them the best.

Ha! I'm one of them, to be quite honest, and I don't have faith in my generation. As a whole, probably not, while there are certain individuals who shine through the rest that could, quite possibly, amount to something.

Though as a 15 year old , I expect a good 45 percent at least to amount to something. The rest will have a bit difficult time in life but will make it something.





Why I think that mainly because I notice some teens don't have as much morals and don't think of the next day and just live in the moment. Plus some teens don't even set goals. For example they might play around in school then when senior year comes they could begin trying to get serious, but would of already been to late for their future.
