i want to know more about it cause im writing an essay and i ant to hear what people thinkWhat effect does pre-marital sex have on the acedemic performance of teenagers?
Premarital sex doesn't really affect performance in school; however, the consequences of premarital sex are likely to. Missing school days due to pregnancy or doctors appointments from contracted diseases will obviously cause a deterioration in a student's performance.





The maturity level of the student also has a lot of weight. There's a huge difference between two older students in a committed relationship having responsible sex, and two irresponsible students having promiscuous sex.





The effect of pre-marital sex on academic performance is too vague because the affect will differ from student to student and how said student deals with being sexually active.





I have friends who are married now, that were sexually active in high school and were great students. I also knew students that became pregnant in high school and dropped out.





If you are allowed to choose your report topic, I would consider changing it to ';The effect of the consequences of pre-marital sex on the academic performance of teenagers.'; That would allow you to speak of pregnancy and STDs with a stronger foundation.What effect does pre-marital sex have on the acedemic performance of teenagers?
Well, when people are more focused on loosing their virginity, you think they are going to focus on their school work?


Of course not! Their academic performance would more than likely decrease because they are so worried about whether they will ';fit in'; or not. Quiet sad actually, I met this hooker in Vegas. And, I asked her a few questions, just for kicks. Because, my dad wouldn't let me gamble. So, anyways. She told me that she was a straight A student. But so called ';family problems'; and the classic '; I just wanted to fit in'; is what I was told. She could have been a Marine Biologist, but instead. She chose to go down the wrong path, and became a hooker making 10 bucks an hour. Sad, eh?

There is so much emotional baggage that comes along with having sex that it makes it a little hard to focus on other things like school.
well if they get pregnant and decide to keep the baby, it's gonna be hard to finish school. it's possible yes, but you won't have all the time in the world to study as you did before.
None whatsoever. That's like saying, ';How does the sex life of an adult affect his or her job performance?'; One has nothing to do with the other.





Pregnancy, on the other hand, has PLENTY of effect on the academic performance of teenagers.

If you have sex, you can get pregnant, and more sexually active teenagers get pregnant than sexually active adults, and I think about 14% of teenage parents ever finish high school.





If you have a fetus in you, it's pretty hard to concentrate.
Well it could if they get pregnant because most of the time they drop out school. And that is really basd, and sems to be happening more and more every school year. Other than that i dont belive it effects much, unless they are horny all the time then of course they are not focused on school.
Me having sex (and even getting pregnant for that matter) when I was in high school had no effect on my academic performance/sucess. I was a straight A student all throughout high school... I started having sex soon after I turned 16, when I was a junior in high school (I was a year ahead of my class). I got pregnant when I was a senior, 2 months before my 17th birthday and I graduated second in my class, with a 4.1 GPA when I was 17 and 4 months pregnant...I was lucky, I had a very easy pregnancy and I wasn't too sick, so I really didn't have to miss much school...





And just to throw this out there, I wasn't having promiscuous sex, I was with my boyfriend for over a year before we decided to have sex, he is the father of my daughter AND he's the only person I've ever been with...
