What are some issues that you have? with the US? im looking for teenagers answers especially?

with the US today? im planning on sending a letter to all or most of the candidates, and id like to have a wide variety of issues addressed.

There is a reason no one 13 - 16 can vote. No one will take a 13- 16 year old kid's opinion seriously. An they probably shouldn't.
well im not a teenager but i will tell you this most people in this country can not afford medical or dental most of us are not offered insurance through our jobs and if it is offered we can't afford to pay the premiums
i don't like that religion is in everything, including the pledge of allegiance. like, what if it was under allah? or whatever.. but i dont think christians would be too happy w/ that. the bible also shouldnt interfere with gay marriage, or abortion. i respect religion, but sometimes it is just too overboard.
part of the reason your concerns arent addressed is because your age group has a low voter turn out rate. Politicians are hos all they care about is suckin up to people who will determine whether or not they are elected. Like they actually *care* about issues. Ha!





my concerns are the ridiculous quagmire and the religious right doing their darndest to mix religion and politix
Well, I'm not in the age group you are seeking, but I feel the biggest issues are foreign policy, health care, global warming/environment, and the national debt.





On foreign policy, I agree with Ron Paul that we should have a non-interventionist foreign policy. I'm not sure how to fix health care, but I agree that something needs to be done to make it more affordable to everyone. As for the environment, I can not believe that with all our technology, we can not develop a car that gets 100 mpg or, better yet, runs purely on alternative fuel sources. This is not only an issue with the environment, but with national security and the economy as well.





As for the national debt, I think this might be the biggest problem of all, though nobody wants to admit it. I'm very concerned that the US will experience another severe depression within my lifetime if we do not get the national debt under control. Spending hundreds of billions of dollars fighting the war in Iraq doesn't help matters. I think social security should gradually be phased out in favor of personal responsibility and education in regards to retirement plans.





I agree with the above responder concerning religion as well.

Well for one I REALLY hate how we can't seem to control the amount of illegal immigrants in our country!!! Can't we help Mexico out??


Also I hate how Bush is constantly sending more and more of our soldiers to Iraq only to keep on getting injured or sometimes killed!!


In school I hate how there are labels, but the label I hate the most is ';Prep';. There are MANY ... ';preps'; ... at my school and they sometimes look at you as if you're a disgusting insect.


How EXPENSIVE everything is, and how the minimum wage isn't that high at all! In fact I heard they are LOWERING it!! If that happened, letters to the President it is!!
